Information on the 7th International Parrot Convention, Tenerife, Canary Islands

The International Parrot Convention, which takes place every four years, will be held again in September 2010 on Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Organised by the world famous Loro Parque, this year it will take place from the evening of Wednesday, 22nd to Saturday, 25th September and a three day workshop from Sunday, 26th to Tuesday, 28th September. Attendees may elect to take part in any of these events. The main convention will have simultaneous translation into English, French, German and Spanish.

Please note that the scientific convention originally planned from 20th to 22nd September will unfortunately not now take place because of lack of numbers due to the global financial situation, which has affected scientific, zoological and conservation organisations and institutions particularly badly.

The convention in Tenerife has provided a great unique opportunity for parrot enthusiasts and experts from all over the world to meet, network, gain new knowledge and socialise since the very first one in 1986.
