The breeding and release facility for the Spix's Macaw in Brazil is opened to the public

A report very recently on the Parrots International Facebook page stated that the breeding and release facility in the Caatinga in Brazil for the re-introduction of the Spix's Macaw had been presented to the public for the very first time. The local community from the town of Curaça was invited to view the facility and ask questions. The day ended with an official meeting in the Brazilian Minstry of Aviculture to discuss future steps. It certainly looks very optimistic for the return of the Spix's Macaw to its natural habitat in the near future.
