Von dem Blauarara leicht an der geringeren Grösse und der bleigrau anstatt gelb gefärbten Zügel- und Augengegend unterschieden; auch fehlt der gelbe Fleck am Unterschnabel und die Wangen sind grau. Ost-Brasilien.
