Native trees help burned Pantanal

Neiva Guedes reported on her Facebook page that she had travelled into the Serra do Amolar, the imposing mountain range in the centre of the Pantanal, where there had been serious fires last year and discovered some of the burned pasture land had been replanted with native trees such as manduvi, acuri and bocaiuvia. Hyacinthine macaws were actually feeding on one of the trees. This is an amazing development and needs to be replicated elsewhere in the Pantanal. I compiled an article based on the Facebook page and sent it to Parrots magazine.  It has just been published in the March 2021 issue and can be read here.
