Saoud Al-Thani made a considerable contribution to conservation and not just the Spix's macaw
Very sad to hear the news of the sudden death of Sheikh Saoud Al-Thani, the founder of Al-Wabra Wildlife Preservation, in London earlier this week. He made a considerable contribution to conservation and not just the Spix's macaw. At the moment it is not clear what will become of his livestock, but let's hope the plan to re-introduce the Spix's macaw successfully into the wild can be achieved soon in his memory.
