Translation of the papers from the ZGAP
Provide much information about the very first measures taken to try to conserve the species
As promised I am publishing here the second of the papers from the ZGAP newsletter of October 1987, which I have translated into English. Written by Thomas Arndt and reporting on the very first Spix's Macaw meeting in Tenerife it provides much information about the very first measures taken to try to conserve the species. It also shows clearly Wolfgang Kiessling's involvement with the conservation of the Spix's Macaw right from the beginning - a period of more than 25 years. Den Originaltext kann man hier lesen.
